Hello yogis! Today I am in Fort Lauderdale with my good friend Anna. I am used to traveling here--I spend about ten days each month apprenticing with Greg Nardi at Ashtanga Yoga Worldwide--but for Anna, it's a "Yoga Mini-Vacation." It's her first time making a trip specifically to practice yoga, and her first time at a big city shala with a teacher as experienced as Greg.
As a relatively new Ashtangi, Anna's enthusiasm is contagious, so I am fully embracing her "mini-vacation" vibe. It's fun to share my experience here with someone as passionate about yoga as I am, but sees it through fresh eyes. Her enthusiasm reminds me what made me fall in love with the practice in the first place.
It's only two days of practice (and for me, assisting Greg), but it's a nice time for both of us to focus solely on yoga. We're having plenty of deep discussions, eating yummy organic food, and simply enjoying some girl-time together as well.
I'm grateful to have a friend who is as passionate about the practice as I am. I have a feeling this won't be our last Yoga Mini-Vacation!
